El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead

El-P's new album 'I'll Sleep When You're Dead' is out and it's fucking brilliant. Total production innovation and signature lethal lyric delivery from the Def Jux trailblazer.

Exactly 2 months to the day, the shipment is in my hands!

Rick was nice enough to also throw in the entire back catalogue (001 on white label) to his label, Incite Recordings, for bearing with the troubles. [Big shout to Rick for doing that.]

Virb Is The New Myspace

Recently launched Virb, is the new Myspace, folks. It's a fact.

It's a flash based networking site, that has an ultra slick interface design thats able to be modified and customized to your little hearts desire. It's also running the popular photo program, Flickr, and enables it's photo feed into your Virb account. The flash music player is so sick, not only in it's design but it's abilites, and there's already a bunch of big underground 'college radio' artists involved with the music portion of the site. A few drum and bass artists are already on board too. ASC and Evol Intent are 2 of the first producers to sign up.

So shout out to Inaya for pointing it in my direction and while you're checking out all these other links, might aswell check out my page. :)

Chris Simon What Were You Thinking?

I was going to post on here and defend Simon's actions, as the original footage I had seen on TSN ['Highlights: NYR 2, NYI 1' if you want to see yourself] had shown an angle where it looks almost as if he was trying to crosscheck him hard and his hands were just back a bit on the stick, therfore it looked like a chop at his chest. But, after seeing the angles at the end of the ESPN footage above ^, it's plain to see he did swing his stick in a manner where he was deliberately trying to hurt Ryan Hollweg. Not so much at his head, but more at his chest.

Now, Hollweg isn't 100% innocent in this at all. I've watched him in sevral games this year and he's running all over the ice and finishing his checks with force. And that's his job understandably. But, he's very wreckless out there and his hit on Simon is questionable as to being a 'clean hit'.

I'm kinda sad for Chris Simon. He was having a great year under Ted Nolan and they were making a strong push into the playoffs since the trade deadline. Now this almost clouds all their hardwork and could ultimately effect the Islanders over this last month of the season.

Simon has been suspended indefinitely since the incident, and today met with NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell for his hearing. No decision has been announced yet.
Chris Simon has been suspended for the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

FUCK UPS [update]

Remember this?

Well, I finally recieved a call yesterday about the shippment. It went something like this:

"the tracing specialist are done with this, unfortunately nothing was found, so its gone on to the retracing specialist, wont be until next week until we know anything, the shipper will now be informed of the missing(LOST!) shippment and hopefully we all will know where your package is by next week."

utter fuckery.

So Rick, if you're reading this, expect a call from UPS about another lost shipment. :-/

St. Lucia Recap

Well, it was back to reality today, the cruel harsh world of the frigid north. -21 first thing in the morning and a fierce wind that pierced my entire body all day. Not cool.

So on to something that already brings me warmth, and breathes a little life into this frozen vessel of a body.. recapping St. Lucia. We left on the Sunday, February 25th just before the GTA got a big dump of snow [hehe] so we were ecstatic about the getaway. Five hour flight, and upon arrival, 1 hour shuttle to the resort. After a ridiculous ride through the tight knit roads and the insane elevation changes, we make it to the resort, alive. From then on, 7 days in absolute paradise. Maxin an relaxin all week. Tons of good times. Returned to Toronto Sunday, March 4th and we both 100% certain that we'd much rather be back in St. Lucia, livin it up. ( for now atleast, until spring arrives. ;] )

Check some pics y'all!

The best time ever!

Some notes...

-We stayed at the luxurious, Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa. It was paradise.

-The sun in the West Indies cuts through SPF30 Sunblock at ease. We got scorched early, but no bad burns. So remember kids, re-apply every few hours or so..

-The ocean was just a dream. The warmest natural body of water I've ever been in. I actually wish i was in it right now!

-Ocean kayaking is the illest. Tons o fun.

-Speaking of alcohol, I suffered through one hell of a hangover on Friday, but that's ok cause Thursday night was worth it! Thanks to my 2 partners on the night, Rye and Ginger. ;)

-The breakfast buffet was probably the best thing about the food there. They had just massive amounts of fresh fresh foods. We loved it!

-They had a ping pong table on site, and we had some serious battles go down. Serious son. Ultra competitive drunk matches inside the table tenni arena!!!

-I found MY hammock early in the trip. I always plan to find one every exotic trip im on and lounge out for multiple hours. He was best friend on the hung over Friday. :D

-And a great big shout to the love of my life, Judy Mac. This trip was our best yet and I can't wait till our next! Love you lots girl! <3
